Koyo Gives Back - Our Charity Activities in Japan 2024

The Koyo Kaiun Group is committed to giving back to the communities we belong to through fundraising activities. Although each contribution is modest, our team members came up with ideas for donations, hoping to support various activities in any way we can. Below are the donations we made in 2024:


C.W. Nicol Afan Woodland Trust

An initiative by writer C.W. Nicol to protect and restore forests on land he acquired in Kurohime, Nagano Prefecture, for nature conservation. The trust has expanded to approximately 30 hectares—three times its original size—by acquiring surrounding forests. Free roaming in the area is restricted to minimize impact on wildlife.

NPO Earth Communication

An organization conducting marine conservation, nature activities, and environmental education in Omaezaki City, Shizuoka Prefecture. They work to protect Zostera marina meadows discovered near Omaezaki Port.

Ashita e no Chikara (Power for Tomorrow)

A support organization assisting those who care for children by providing monthly meal coupons worth ¥3,000 to children in need. These coupons can be used at local restaurants.

Donation Amount:¥300,000


OWC (Oceanic Wildlife Society)

A group focused on marine environmental conservation, including coral and tidal flat surveys, marine debris cleanup, and public awareness campaigns.

Donation Amount:¥200,000


Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies (ISEP)

An independent research organization dedicated to achieving sustainable energy policies, free from government and industry influence.

Donation Amount:¥300,000


Anidone

A certified public interest organization. Donations to its support association contribute to projects such as fostering youth interest in natural sciences, collaborating with local museums, and specimen production, acquisition, preservation, and restoration.

Musubie: National Children's Cafeteria Support Center

A certified NPO supporting children's cafeteria operators nationwide.

Donation Amount:¥600,000


Hikari no ie Support Association

An organization supporting the welfare of visually impaired individuals.

Donation Amount:¥100,000


Cancer Survivor Club (Japan Cancer Society)

A certified public interest organization supporting cancer patients and their families.

Donation Amount:¥100,000


Japanese National Trust

A certified public interest organization that serves as the central body for trust organizations across Japan. Since 2007, it has begun acquiring land for conservation, such as forests in Shirakawa and virgin forests in Echigo-Yuzawa.

Japan Child Support Association

A support organization working to create a society where love flows between children and parents by ensuring foster parents can focus on child-rearing.

Donation Amount:¥600,000


Minato Children's Cafeteria

An organization running a children's cafeteria in Minato City.

Donation Amount:¥400,000


National Museum of Art

As the central hub for art promotion in Japan, the National Museum of Art aims to enrich society through culture and the arts.
